I will definitely be backI just spent an 'Over 50's' week in Les Suites de l'Alpe and it was brilliant, walking distance (ca 150m) from the Perrieres chair. I was the only over 50's guest but the service from the chalet girls and host was impeccable. The food was amazing too and they are more than happy to accommodate any type of meal. The host made a special effort to give advice and help on where to ski and where to eat on the mountains. Wetzet chalet was a big hit! I will definitely be back.

Thanks again to everyone at Ski Gathering!I booked a late deal in April for a short 3 day ski break in Avoriaz and was extremely impressed with the level of service and friendliness given by everyone within the Ski Gathering group. We were so lucky with the snow conditions, being so late in the season and so lucky with our hosts Tim and Cath. Cath had been a cookery teacher in the past and it did show with all the lovely food she and Tim made for us. Our team leader was Tatiana who was also extremely friendly, she went over and above to make sure our trip was memorable. Travelling alone can seem daunting at first, but I can honestly say, you don't feel alone at all when you're there. Thanks again to everyone at Ski Gathering! You never know, I might be lucky enough to visit you all again sometime. Fingers crossed!!

I would definitely go againThoroughly enjoyed my week. My first time as a 'solo' skier (in a very long time) it was a great experience meeting great people. The benefits are great, having everything arranged for you, a group of friends to eat with, drink with and ski with. The accommodation was relatively basic but it was very nice. The hosts in the chalet were very accommodating, friendly and well qualified in hosting. Belinda our rep was excellent and had us organised within an inch of our holiday lives. Everyone in our group noted that it was such a relaxing holiday with nothing to worry about only having a great time skiing. I would definitely go again with Ski Gathering.

What a fantastic placeWhat a fantastic place that was! Les Suites de l'Alpe is a cosy chalat with hot tubs, a swimming pool and a sauna. We were looked after very well by a team of Belinda, Immy and Rachel with plenty of drinks and excellent dinner. They are knowledgable, friendly and hospitable bunch who cater for any age/gender/ability travellers and the resort is ideal for solos with a lot of options. Everything went smoothly from booking online, reserve skipass to check out - I can recommend to anyone who wants to explore the area. Thank you very much!

went beyond what was reasonably expectedAdmin 10/10 Belinda, as organiser, looked after us very well, I felt she went beyond what was reasonably expected to help with anything that cropped up, organising lifts to get back from Avoriaz quickly, and ski guided us some of the time the official ski guides had days off. She even took an interest in helping when I lost my credit card. Food 10/10 the food was superb, the team were very happy to accommodate our various fads, preferences and allergies. Having stated before the holiday a couple of types of food I didn't really want, I got an email suggesting I might prefer this instead of that for a couple of meals so before I arrived I felt that they were going to be very accommodating and flexible. The Chalet staff (Rachel, Freya and Immy) were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Guests 10/10 I like the size of group (12) as although with one exception at the start none of us knew anyone else, it was easy to get to know everyone, and I felt I gelled very well with all the others, both in personality and ski ability; I was happy to ski with anyone in the group. Accommodation (Les Suites de l'Alpe - Mt Blanc - Les Gets) 10/10 location/amenities/services - 300m / 4 minute walk to the chair lift and bottom of ski slope, ski hire shop and good sized supermarket in the same building, as well as sauna, hot tubs and swimming pool. 8/10 rooms - bedrooms were rather on the small size and had almost no cupboard space, we had to live out of our cases all week. Ski Area: 10/10 despite dubious weather (hot days and cold days, sun, snow, and rain on the lower slopes on one day, the snow conditions held up well all week even though it was mid March. Ski Guiding Marc and Alexia are a lovely couple, guiding us for 4 of the days. I wasn't wanting lessons and Alexia (whom I was mostly with) was excellent in just saying a few little hints on ski technique every now and then, and I definitely learnt some tips over the week without feeling time had been taken up in 'lesson' mode. It was well worth going round with someone who knew the mountain.

best ski holiday everFabulous , fun, best ski holiday ever with the Ski Gathering. Belinda was an extremely dedicated and entertaining host who took us to and showed us some brilliant places to ski and managed the groups well accordingly to ability. The food and free drink was phenomenal and Imie and Rachael could not have been more efficient or nicer to have around looking after our needs. Might have been an over 50s holiday but there was not one in the group who most nights managed to act like they were 18 again. Already looking forward to seeing next years programme and rebooking.

altogether brilliant!At 69 I felt my skiing days were over ( my friends all said they were too old to learn to ski) then I discovered Ski Gathering! I had the most wonderful time in my chalet for over 50s and I shall be there every year as long as I am fit enough to ski. Belinda is amazing! She looks after a lot of people yet she gets to know and cares for everyone as an individual. Our chalet was warm and comfortable with lots of space for partying and the food was excellent. Rachel and Immy were always there with a smile inspite of all the mess we left for them to clear up. They were flexible with our meal times and never complained when some of us returned late for our chosen meal time. They were friendly, welcoming and altogether brilliant! I will definitely return- hopefully next year.

I had a fantastic timeThis was my first visit to Les Suites de l'Alpe and to a 50+ solo holiday. From the very start it was well organised and very friendly. Belinda made us feel very welcome and explained how things worked, from ski passes and buses, to paying for 13 different drinks in the mountain cafe! Immy, Rachel and Freya were very efficient and obliging, coping with all our different requests and late appearances. I very much enjoyed my vegetarian option, which had lots of variety and was filling and tasty. Overall I had a fantastic time skiing and staying at the chalet, thank you to all the hosts.

In a nutshell - fantastic!In a nutshell - fantastic! I stayed in Mont Blanc chalet within Les Suites de L'Alpe, and our group of 12 could not have asked to be looked after better by Freya, Rachel and Immy. The food was great, and complimentary wine and beer flowed freely throughout! Although I have none myself, I was impressed that all our group's dietary needs were accommodated so effortlessly. P.S. Anyone who worries the vegetarian dish (as part of the flexitarian concept) won't be nice, don't, it was absolutely delicious and such a great thing to encourage (those who opted out in favour of meat really missed out IMO!) The chalet itself was spotless, warm and cosy and very well located near a small supermarket and a fab ski hire place, and just over the road from a lift that whisked us right up to the mountains. The ESF ski guiding as part of our package was also brilliant - I not only learnt loads, but laughed out loud every day. Worth every penny and highly recommended! A special mention is deserved for Belinda too - a fabulous lady who I reckon could run an entire country with her eyes closed! She seems to knows everyone who matters in Les Gets. This was put to the test after I had a nightmare on arrival with badly delayed BA flights and lost luggage. Belinda stayed in touch and kept me sane. My bags (including skis) didn't arrive for 5 days, but Belinda sorted my ski hire and a few other things thanks to her contacts and provided a letter afterwards to support my insurance claim. And when my luggage was finally due to arrive in resort, she made sure it was received safely without me needing to miss time on the slopes. In summary, faultless service from the entire team who went the extra mile, provided lots of smiles, and made it a holiday to remember! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Would I go again? Absolutely yes!In past years we have filled a chalet with friends, but since our last trip in 2020 nothing has been organised, so at the very last minute myself and a couple of friends decided to try The Ski Gathering. It was a great holiday! In many ways it was more fun being with a bunch of random people of different ages, from different countries and backgrounds. Everyone got on well, due to Belinda's exceptional people skills, and, I guess, because people who are up for this sort of holiday are by nature open to meeting new people and are easy to get along with. We had a lot of laughs and some interesting conversations, which to my mind is what a holiday is all about. We kept 'bumping into' Belinda on the slopes and she would show us all the best places to go. She even hired a minibus to take us to different parts of the mountains (the snow was a bit thin when we went). Belinda loves skiing and loves people. She worked really hard to make sure everyone had a good time. Daisy and Grace, the chalet staff, looked after us very well, and we were all super impressed with the food. Would I go again? Absolutely yes!

...beyond my expectations!The Ski Gathering trip to Les Gets from which I just returned was fabulous! Food , lodging, people were all pleasantly surprising beyond my expectations! The options were always there if one wanted to ski a lot or a little. The meals provided fresh, healthy and / or decadent options. Lodging was situated in the center of everything… you almost fell out of bed into the lifts, shops, restaurants. Our trip lead Belinda was amazing!! She had every possible detail covered down to the very last bit, even for me who came from the US with a few travel complications. Les Gets attracts a great group of travelers as well. We were surprised we all gelled well around our love for skiing, travel and getting to know new people! Will definitely be back! ( btw, I am a plant-based eater and the options they afforded me were the best I have ever experienced on a trip!). Truly a special way to go on a holiday that did not even remotely disappoint!

...beyond my expectations!This was my first experience of a Ski Gathering trip and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. I opted for the over 50s week. So well organised in so many ways- airport transfers, communication and support. The staff- Belinda, Freya, Sophie and Imi were amazing-nothing was too much for them. ...the best ever getaway optionThe Ski Gathering is such a unique concept and perhaps the best ever getaway option for skiers looking for somewhere they can ski with like minded folks. There were eleven of us in our chalet group who, over the course of the week, naturally found their skiing companions. We were well fed all week and although the rooms were rather small, there was plenty of space to mingle after a day on the slopes. The chalet staff did a good job serving meals and keeping us well supplied with tea, coffee and other drinks. Ski guiding (done unofficially) was great and even included a day trip to neighbouring Switzerland. Our leader, Belinda, knew all the best runs and best stopping places for coffee or lunch. I definitely got more out of the week thanks to her input. Would I return to another Ski Gathering? Yes, definitely!

An amazing holiday!An amazing holiday! I went on a solo beginners ski holiday with The Ski Gathering and it was a fantastic way to the start the year. Everything was extremely well organised, taking any stress out of having to find places to book lessons or hire equipment etc, meaning you could just enjoy the holiday. The accommodation was lovely and the food was delicious, it was better than any meal we had out in town! Belinda was a fantastic host ensuring everyone was happy and Freya and Immie were great chalet hosts and could not have done any more for us. I have already recommended to a few friends.

Everything was organized very wellThe Ski Gathering Week was such a blast. The organization and the days leading up to the trip went swimmingly. The Ski Gathering team was very helpful, responsive to all questions, kept me informed of everything I need to know to help me better prepare for the trip. The ski week itself was beyond amazing. Everyone in the group was lovely - and I ended the trip with new found friends. Belinda is stellar - ensuring that everything ran smoothly, providing everything that you need especially with regard to ski lessons and even matching you with the perfect instructor that can make you progress quickly. And it has been super fun talking to her - very informative and entertaining at the same time. Thank you so much, Belinda. Immie, Freya and the rest of the team in the chalet merit a special acknowledgment as well. They have been very nice, accommodating and effective in making sure that we were comfortable in the chalet and well fed in the trip. Immie and Freya have been especially helpful with the meals, their recommendations for activities, and made all of us in the group feel at home during the entire trip. I had a fantastic weekI have just returned from a week in Les Gets with ski gathering. I stayed in chalet de alpe as a solo traveller and I had a fantastic week. Belinda was great and really went the extra mile in ensuring everyone had what they needed to have a great time. The chalet hosts Freya and immie were amazing! Very friendly yet professional throughout and provided outstanding meals and cakes. Would definitely recommend the chalet and ski gathering in fact I have already passed the details of the trip onto 2 fellow passengers on the plane on the way back who overheard me talking about my holiday and liked the sound of it!

I would 100% recommendI had an amazing time on the solo beginners Ski Gathering trip to Les Gets. Everything from the airport transfers, ski hire, lift pass etc. can all be organised by the team which was great to not have the usual booking admin. The service from the chalet hosts Freya and Immi was second to none, and everything they cooked up for us was delicious and beautifully presented! The group was also thoroughly looked after by Belinda who made us feel very welcome and looked after by frequently dropping in on us and giving us lots of great recommendations for restaurants/bars in the local area. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to meet some friendly new people and to improve their skiing confidence in a beautiful resort!

Superb skiing holiday.Superb skiing holiday. Stayed at Les Suites des Alps in Les Gets and loved it. The hosts, Immi and Freya, are incredibly accommodating, a good laugh, very relaxed and friendly. They are fantastic cooks who make delicious food for all dietary differences, including me a vegan, that sets you up for a full day of skiing and then finishes the day off nicely with afternoon tea and supper. It's such a great holiday for solo travellers. Would highly recommend this to everyone.

Belinda and the Chalet hosts were wonderful at looking after us, and making sure I had a great time. Special shout-out to Daisy and Fiona who were amazing at managing dietary requirements. Even though getting there was challenging - Belinda was a great support the whole time, and the trip was definitely worth it! I shall certainly be returning!I have just returned from my first trip with The Ski Gathering and had a fantastic time! I was a little apprehensive about what to expect, but Belinda's warm welcome on arrival soon put me at ease. The chalet was cosy and immaculate and our three chalet maids (Daisy, Fiona and Kati) looked after us so well. The food was plentiful and all delicious: a range of breakfast options in the morning (both hot and cold), a lovely afternoon tea waiting for us when we came off the mountain and wonderful evening meals prepared by the chef and the chalet maids. The chalet has unlimited wine and beer and we certainly enjoyed sampling the varieties available... Belinda arranged restaurant reservations for us on the two nights the staff had off and both meals were lovely - the fondue restaurant was a particular highlight of the trip. We also enjoyed the great restaurants she recommended on the slopes, along with the much anticipated trip to La Folie Douce. A wonderful trip and I shall certainly be returning!

I loved every single second!Had the best week with Ski Gathering in Les Gets!! Belinda our group leader/coordinator was astonishing. No task was ever too big, she really cares about your experience and wants to make sure each and every person is happy constantly and enjoying themselves. She also gave great suggestions on how to spend our days where to go, where to eat, so you barely have to even think! The chalet hosts (Fiona, Daisy and Kati) were super lovely! They were really fun hosts to have, very accomodating and very talented chefs! The food was incredible!! Catered to everyone's dietary needs, delicious, healthy and really hit the spot after a full day out on the slopes. You also always came home to a nice afternoon tea waiting for you labeled with different dietary needs to ensure you got the correct snack. If you're someone who loves snow sports but you don't have anyone to go with - book yourself a ski gathering tour! You'll meet wonderful like minded people, stay in a gorgeous little chalet, eat amazing food every night, ski/snowboard over the most magnificent views and laugh your way through an incredible week! Will definitely be returning! I loved every single second!

Go for it!This was my second Ski Gathering holiday and just like the first time, was fantastic. Lovely, likeminded, fun and interesting people who are up for good chats, laughs and exploring the mountain. Belinda and the chalet team could not do enough to help - something I needed a lot of as my suitcase was lost on arrival at Geneva. Belinda made what was really stressful and upsetting a hell of a lot less stressful and upsetting! Food was great, the whole holiday just felt like a massive treat. I'll be booking another Ski Gathering before the season is out, I cannot recommend enough for solo travellers, friends or couples. Ski holidays come alive when you're in a big group. Go for it!

I can't recommend Ski Gathering holidays enoughI can't recommend Ski Gathering holidays enough. I'm just back from my third Ski Gathering holiday and had a fantastic time. The chalet was cosy and perfectly located. The chalet hosts couldn't have been more accommodating and gave us everything we needed. Belinda was so helpful and knew all the best pistes and mountain restaurants. The food was great, with good variety and they even treated us to a four course Christmas meal. In my experience Ski Gathering holidays attract very like minded people- those who love the mountains and skiing, are easy going and friendly and love messing around in the snow. I'll be back later in the season for my fourth Ski Gathering holiday!

I had a great timeI had a great time in Les Gets with The Ski Gathering. The chalet accommodation was 2 minutes across the road from the nearest ski lift which was perfect. The chalet hosts looked after us like royalty and the food prepared and served was delicious and plentiful. If only I could have eaten it all! The solo format is convenient and everyone in our chalet was friendly, easy going and we all got along really well. I shared a room which was cosy and had most things needed. It could have done with a bit more storage as I don't travel light and there was a tumble dryer and boot storage downstairs which was needed after a really wet and rainy day. The large hot tub was ace and helped the aches and pains. We often went out as a group and discovered miles of pistes with Belinda who knows all the right places to ski, eat and to find the magical bombardinos ;-). If you're on your own, with a friend or partner this format is perfect. Everyone who's there wants to ski or board and you'll more than likely find someone to ski with and then hit the bars or restaurants after also. The range of ages will obviously vary on each trip and myself being a bit of an old boy didn't stop me fitting in with the whipper snappers and we all had quite a laugh. So, overall I'd highly recommend a holiday like this and wouldn't hesitate to book again, thanks Ski Gathering.

I had an absolutely fab weekI had an absolutely fab week filled with great skiing, scrumptious food, enthusiastic dancing, terrible singing and most of all, endless laughter! The booking procedure was easy and stress-free with Jana and Ashleigh. Belinda was very helpful with the transfer details and basically all the important nitty gritty stuff during our whole stay. My first impression was Thoma's warm smiley welcome and his promptness to handle my luggage. The food was delicious, Thoma and Liam were brilliant and super friendly. And what a lovely group to be a part of! Such fun company to have throughout the stay, it was sad Good-byes at the end. The chalet is in a beautiful peaceful setting and is attractive, comfy and cosy. It was really lovely to have fantastic skiing instructors taking such good care of us on the slopes, a very big thank you to Arthur and Fafa! Many thanks again to Belinda, Thoma and Liam who looked after us so well. Lots of happy memories to cherish!

I will definitely see you next season!Just spent a brilliant week at Les Suites de L'Alpe in Les Gets hosted by Montagne & Tradition / Ski Gathering. The skiing, accommodation and food were all excellent. But what sets this holiday apart from the rest are the people who run it. Jana and Ashleigh did a great job of booking me in last minute. Then the amazing Belinda who went out of her way to make sure we were well looked after during the trip - arranging hires, lessons, food, transfers as well as skiing and socialising with us. And Thomas and Liam back at the chalet made sure to keep the food, drink and laughs rolling. A massive thank you to all for a wonderful holiday. My legs need a rest now after all that skiing (and dancing) but I will definitely see you next season!

I will definitely be back!I had a wonderful 2 weeks at Chalets de L'Alp in Les Gets (booked via the Ski Gathering) where we were well looked after by Belinda and the M&T team. Belinda went above and beyond to ensure the holiday was a success and an enjoyable time was had by all. I wasn't completely sure what to expect but can say that my experience far surpassed any expectations that I may have had. The skiing, the food, the accommodation and the company were all fantastic. Thank-you Thoma, Liam, Lisa and Hannah for your hospitality, hard work and humour. You made sure we were well looked after and always with a splash of charm! I will definitely be back!

I will definitely be back!I spent years not going skiing because I couldn't get anyone to go with me, then found out about the Ski Gathering, have been on 2 of these now. I definitely recommend it for anyone considering skiing/boarding as a solo. You have a ready made group of likeminded people to spend time both on the slopes and off. Age and ability does't matter, everything can be organised by TSG, equipment hire, lessons, food, transfers, social time, if you've been thinking about it, then do it, you won't regret it. Belinda is a great host and seems to know everyone in Les Gets, great source of information and will help you if you get stuck with anything. Don't worry if you can't ski/board, the lessons will fix you in no time, literally after my second gathering, I'm doing jumps!!

All in all a lovely breakFrom the moment of arrival in Les Gets you know that M&T are going to look after you. We were met in the apartment by Thomas who was to be our host for the week and he immediately set about making us feel welcome. Thomas was on hand for breakfast every morning, cake and sandwiches every afternoon and dinner nearly every night.. I guess he should be allowed 'some' time off... The food is excellent, centrally prepared but finished and plated by Thomas to a very high standard. Beer wine and soft drinks are all included (they will even provide tonic so make sure you stock up on gin on the way over in the duty free. The location of the apartment is extremely handy for the main lift (just a short walk across the road) and the ski hire shop (and ski locker) is right beneath the apartment. The only downside of the location is the proximity to the bars but after a few tiring days on the slopes we stopped noticing. Everyone at M&T Les Gets are helpful. Belinda sorted out our ski hire and was on hand on evening 1 for questions and orientation, Ashleigh, Liam and Emma also leant a hand when needed. All in all a lovely break, with a lovely company in a lovely location.

Absolutely brilliant skiing holidayAbsolutely brilliant skiing holiday with The Ski Gathering. The customer service received while arranging the trip was excellent; Clare ensured everything was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. The chalet was really comfortable and Kath and Tim were fabulous hosts who kept us well fed and well looked after. My fellow guests were a great bunch too and we had a lot of fun together. The Ski Gathering is a great idea for solo/pairs of skiers who want the chalet experience and a stress free trip.

...will definitely go againI had a fantastic trip to Morzine, my first with Ski Gathering, and will definitely go again. They were so accommodating and communicative regarding all the the arrangements, and Kath and Tim - our chalet hosts - were an absolute delight. I arrived very late at the chalet, after everyone else was in bed, and they were not just up but welcomed me and offered me food; that first night and throughout the trip the food always had a good vegetarian option and was a very high standard - the raspberry souffle was incredible. I've skied many, many times and never stayed anywhere with no specified check-out time, so on my last day, before a late return flight, I had a full day on the slopes before going back for freshly baked cake, a sauna, a shower and finishing my packing, with full access to the room. (The room was spacious - with four beds and only three of us in there - comfortable and clean, though the bathroom is very tiny!), The transfers were in very small groups by minibus and the ski gear I hired was brought to the chalet during breakfast on the first day and collected after my departure - again, maximum convenience and ski time. The chalet is on the ski bus route, right by the bus stop in both directions, and on the night when we ate in town it was a 30-min walk - lovely to do when you're not carrying skis. As I say, I'll definitely be back, either here to to try another Ski Gathering location.

...looking forward to booking againSuch a good organization. Everything was taken care of. Communication before the trip was clear, no surprises, very friendly and helpful. The only handicap is the airport wait once you arrive, but that is due to the overload of transfers and different arrival times of people in different groups. I doubt ski gathering can do anything to fix this specifically. In any case, I am looking forward to booking again and meeting some great people next year!

A brilliant company and serviceA brilliant company and service. Claire was very helpful with organising transfers, ski passes, ski hire and in general helpful information. The accommodation was comfortable, it was a chalet with shared rooms and chalet hosts who were lovely. A small group of 12 which was a good group size with a big variety of people some there for the skiing first out and last back and some for a leisurely ski and apres ski parties. It worked out well that we split in to groups for skiing for different abilities. I would go again!

It's just perfect!The staff working for The Ski Gathering significantly exceeded expectations in terms of support, from the booking process right through to in resort service. Lisa and Hannah were excellent chalet hosts, friendly, accommodating and very flexible. Belinda was fantastic in providing those extra touches that really make a holiday (booking restaurants, taking time out to act as a ski guide on two afternoons etc). The food (and the drink) was excellent and plentiful and the chalet ideally located to provide the perfect balance between convenience and peace and quiet. Les Gets as a ski resort was fantastic and all the staff supporting the provision of on piste services were very friendly. Certainly an experience I will recommend to friends!

It's just perfect!Highly recommended. The chalet hosts Lisa and Hannah were extremely welcoming & professional & were very accommodating should there be any changes in dietary requirements. The food was amazing & plenty of it so you'd never go hungry. Everything apart from flights were organised by the ski gathering so there was no need to research companies for transfers / ski lessons, etc. Belinda who I believe overseas several of the chalet accommodations was absolutely lived & extremely helpful in recommending places to eat & even booking tables for us for any days where meals are not included. She even went above & beyond to take us out a few days in the week skiing showing us new routes & giving any tips to help improve our skiing abilities. Can't rate this company enough. It was a truly magical holiday.

... had the most wonderful experiences as a solo travelerI have used The Ski Gathering for the past 3 years and have had the most wonderful experiences as a solo traveler every visit. The accommodations are always immaculate with wonderful facilities and the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast (eggs cooked to order) and the 3 course dinners are cooked fresh in the chalet and the food is always lovely. There is wine included, as well as after dinner cheese with digestifs. A particular nice touch is the freshly baked cakes or cookies that await at the end of every day on the slopes. The groups of people have always been extremely friendly and provide great company for those less confident in exploring the slopes by themselves or looking for a challenge. It is well worth getting the full access ski pass to take advantage of the huge area of skiing available. In 3 years there are still many slopes that I've yet to fully explore and it is a wonderful area for skiers and boarders of all levels. All extras (transfers, gear, lift passes) can be organised directly with The Ski Gathering and this ensures that the entire holiday is managed in the easiest way possible. The staff are always available and very knowledgable about the area.

... they continue to raise the bar!A great week with the Ski Gathering (aka Host Savoie) in Morzine (Feb 11th-18th), at Chalet Ardoisiers. I've stayed with these guys a few times over the last 7-8 years and they continue to raise the bar! Very nice spacious chalet, convenient for the ski bus and a short walk into town in the evenings. Food was prepared to a high standard and some nice touches like pre-dinner drinks and cheese & port later in the evening. Also, the pre-trip details were all taken care of very efficiently (re transfers, ski passes, ski hire etc).

I will do this again!Just returned from a Christmas week at Chalet Ardoisiere with Host Savoie - having booked similar holidays previously with other providers I knew what to expect in practical terms. From the start however the Host Savoie team handled matters differently, keeping in contact from booking date to arrival, which was reassuring and professional. I understand how apprehensive solo skiers are but Host Savoie did everything subtly to encourage confidence and communication in its residents prior to the holiday. Airport transfers were the most efficient I have experienced and booking ski passes/equipment felt like a luxury personal service! The chalet was immaculate and spacious, conveniently located by the ski bus stop and close to the town centre. The chalet team Jo ans Zak couldn't do enough for us and were welcomed as extra group members - their professionalism and maturity was noteworthy compared to the stereotypical Seasonaire - they were clearly hired for their interest in the job role rather than for a seasonal ski pass! Not only did Zak the chef make mince pies on Christmas day - he made the mincemeat from scratch, whilst Jo still managed to clean up the chalet on departure day even though we were under her feet for most of the day! My ski group were a bunch of like minded solo skiers - well matched personality-wise and ability-wise on the slopes. Despite conditions not being perfect, time spent off the slopes was as enjoyable as on thankfully.. Host Savoie have created the perfect business model for solo skiers - attention to detail, alleviating solo skiers nerves and catering for the needs of solo skiers without penalizing us with a price tag!

The warmest recommendationStaying in the Triple room as a Solo was great, everyone including staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. Slopes are a short walk to the bubble or Dan/Jill were very accommodating with the mini-bus shuttling us back and forth, even picking us up from farther afield! Food and Drinks were great all week. FantasticThe Alpine Lodge is very well situated in location less than 5 minutes from the town of Les Gets. The accommodation is very comfortable and very airy and bright. The food is excellent especially the selection of meat dishes specially prepared by their master chef, they also cater for the flexitarian providing good choices of non meat meals. The best thing about the Alpine Lodge is the level off service provided by Belinda, who goes above and beyond to make your stay flawless and relaxing. Belinda has an excellent team of chalet staff who cater for your every need. Brendan was great to have to help in the chalet however his ability to ski could be taken into question.

The Alpine lodge les getsThis chalet is faultless from room quality to service. The crew was belinda, George, Emily, Tulula and Raphael so many thanks to you all. A review of the reviewsHaving recently returned from Alpine Lodge I sat down to write a review. The first thing I noticed was a 100% Excellent review rating, when do you ever see that I thought? So I read them all. We as individuals naturally have different expectations, reviews can and will reflect this and sometimes we have to read between the lines. No lines to read between here! I was struck by the amazing attention to detail, the naming of many individuals, the quality and sheer length of some reviews which must be every recipients dream. Without exception I can truthfully say I totally and wholeheartedly agree with every single word said. I could have cut and pasted every single one and simply said ditto. Total credit to Team Alpine Lodge, once a guest always a guest, would not stay anywhere…

A culinary delight! First class accommodationJust returned from a short break in Les Gets staying at the Alpine Lodge. Great accommodation, so comfortable, delicious food. Our hostess Belinda was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Being served drinks whilst in the hot tub was a real treat. The food was first class, especially the canapés before dinner. Loved the Chefs description of the food being served each evening. Everyone's dietary requirements were well catered for. Loved the freshly chopped fruit with breakfast and the smell of warm croissants welcoming us every morning. Such a comfortable bed, loved the wardrobe light, activated by the sliding door and the electronic window blind. A great ski break. Les Gets and the Alpine Lodge will be at the top of my list for a return trip! A big thank you to all the staff for making our trip so perfect!

Even added some small extra little touches in the boot room area - bottled water/sun cream and snacks The food and hospitality remain high quality as ever. Jana, Raph and the team make you feel really welcome. You won't be disappointed.

Once again a fantastic experienceThis was my second visit to the Alpine Lodge and it lived up to expectations. The food is always prepared to an exceptional standard and the hosting is attentive and feels tailored to your needs. The spotlessly clean chalet is well located a short walk from town and the lifts. The communal space is a good size, with enough space for all guests to relax. Thanks to Belinda and the team for helping to make my trip so enjoyable. The fact all the guests were talking about a return visit speaks volumes.

Fantastic accommodation with superb hostsPerfect for a stay within walking distance to the ski lifts. Very well looked after by the chalet hosts, particularly Belinda. Get spoilt with great food, including afternoon tea. Accommodation itself is modern, clean and spacious. Option of having transfers, ski passes, ski hire and lessons all arranged pre-arrival made the trip even more hassle-free.

Superb accommodation, first class service, brilliant hostsThird return visit to Alpine lodge, the best got better didn't think it was possible but it did.Fantastic welcoming staff who have great personalities who ensure a fun and friendly atmosphere. First class cuisine from Raph in the evening and an excellent selection of wines beers and cocktails served by Belinda, Harrison and Kara, Australia day evening was fun. Absolutely love this place and Les Gets.

Look no further!If you're looking for incredible welcoming staff, delicious food cooked in house, comfortable accommodation and a lovely atmosphere to go with your stay in Les Gets especially for skiing, I'd recommend staying here. I stayed here for a week and had the best ski trip I have ever had thanks to the staff, location and whole package provided. You won't be disappointed and it's just a short walk to the ski lifts and local bars and restaurants (if you still want them after the excellent food!).

Top Banana!Another great short break at The Alpine Lodge would be perfect if you could ski in but a little walk to warm up or cool down those legs - no harm. Completely looked after, friendly staff, with good knowledge of the area & slopes. Hopefully back again next year! Great for Vegetarians but the Vegan menu needs a little attention!

The good life!Booked the Ski Gathering Solo's with Guide week which ran from 19th to 26th March 2022. I was originally booked in January but due to Covid but was moved with no hassle to March. Jana was amazing in making this work considering the nightmare it must have been. Arrived at the Les Suites and greeted by very friendly Belinda, who showed me to the suite (Mont Blanc) room 2. It was a comfortable room with all of my requests taken into account. (Could it have been cleaner?, yes! but I have extremely high standards and therefore take this comment lightly) Belinda was certainly attentive with all the guests, making sure we had everything we needed, arranging lift passes, restaurant bookings and even the lunch bookings in the mountains for each of the days. We certainly felt very looked after. The food was amazing each night and served by either Lisa, Hannah or Racheal. The were very pleasant young ladies with a lot on their plate and looking after 12 hungry people was no easy task but they did it with a certain style. My dietary needs we accommodated very well, and I did not feel like a nuisance, which was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed coming back to the chalet after a hard days skiing to find a cute little note with a specially made sandwich with my name on it!.. That's the sort of thing that makes a holiday. The organisation of this company is second to none, communication was excellent. I communicated with Zoé and Ashleigh and once again i felt like the only client. Nothing was too much trouble. As with all places there are always a few niggly things that could have been done better, but did it take away from the other excellence?..... i'd say not. All in all a great holiday.

Warm, welcoming and attentiveOur group had a brilliant time at Chalet Panda. Jill was really easy to communicate with and the whole process was smooth and simple. Our stay was excellent with top class food made from amazing, friendly hosts (Jan and Jana). We would definitely return and highly recommend. We also loved the ski resort. Overall an amazing holiday.

FabulousStayed here for a week skiing in February. Fabulous location in the heart of the village but only 5 minute walk to the gondola. Despite being so central was still quiet in the evenings. Fabulous room which was beautifully decorated. The staff were all great and very attentive. Great food and a lovely selection of vegetarian dishes. The only thing that let our stay down was the fact that the boot room was mostly left open even locked open one day which could be easily accessed by anyone. This was off putting when storing ski boots and skis. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and gorgeous in decor.

Excellent StayStayed for one week in Feb 2022. Outstanding from day one to the last. Good location in the heart of town. 5 min walk to the central ski bus terminal and 10 mins walk to the nearest ski lift ( City Express bubble) On the first night I mentioned that I don't eat pork, after that whenever there was pork, bacon or ham as a menu item, They always presented an alternative. Sign of a class establishment. The staff at breakdast and dinner were fabulous. Food was superb. With a four course dinner each evening. Would highly reccomend the Heitzmann. btw Zell Am See is stuning place overall.

Small, friendly & charming hotel with excellent staffJust back from a great week in Zell am See staying in Hotel Heitzmann. It's a lovely with very friendly staff who really went out of their way to give us an excellent stay. The place is very clean and well looked after. Location wise it's spot on, being a few hundred meters from the main lift & bus stop, and just at the edge of the village centre with all the shops and bars right there. The food is incredible. I'd not paid much attention to the meals when I booked, and was wonderfully surprised to get an amazing 5-course dinner every night! The experience could not have been better. Highly recommend :)

Charming Family-run Hotel in a perfect locationHotel Heitzmann is a wonderful little hotel right in the centre of Zell am See. Location is perfect, about 2 mins walk from the lift & bus station, with the bars and restaurants starting about 30m from the door. The staff were the biggest attribute. The small, friendly team really went out of their way to make you feel welcome and sort anything we needed. We saw the same faces every day and they'd took the time to get to know us. Food is absolutely excellent. 5 courses every night, with the added bonus of being catered all 7 nights of the stay. I cannot recommend Hotel Heitzmann enough. Thanks so much to Rudi & his team for a very memorable week.

Absolutely wonderfulI can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The rooms are very clean, warm and spacious with plenty of storage. We had an adjoining room which was noisy unfortunately but that was due to our neighbours rather than the hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful and hard working; special mention to Kurt who was extremely kind. I had a skiing accident during my stay and the staff couldn't have done more to help - offering ice, calling the hospital, arranging taxis and translating complex terminology for doctors back home. It was very much appreciated at a very difficult time. The hotel is well located in the town and is a 5 minute walk to the nearest ski lift and ski bus at Post Platz. Bars, shops, kit rental and restaurants are a few steps from the front door which creates a lively and friendly atmosphere and the beautiful lake is a 10 minute stroll. The boot room in the basement can be reached by the internal lift which is very handy. Finally, the food is tremendous - a generous choice at breakfast with cooked options and a wonderful 4 course meal each night. The bar area is also very welcoming. I loved this place and hope to return very soon. Thank you again to Team Heitzmann.

Great ski baseThird time visiting this hotel and as usual the standard was excellent. The food is first class and vegetarians are also catered for with 5 course dinners and substantial breakfasts.The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotless. The bedrooms are roomy with comfortable beds. Bathrobes and slippers are supplied and fresh towels daily.

A jemJust back on Saturday 12th Jan 2019 after a weeks skiing holiday. The Heitzmann is a lovely hotel with great staff. Enjoyed our stay. Small bar which closes at 12.00pm. Food was to a high standard. The resort is very pretty one of the nicest ski report's I've been. Tooooo much snow but then again that's outwith anyone's control. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel with fantastic serviceJust returned from a 5 day ski trip. Comfortable rooms and every member of staff were really friendly and welcoming. Great to relax in the sauna, although I wasn't brave enough to use the pool (too cold). Great little bar. Loved the balcony with views of Mont Blanc and a delicious continental breakfast.

Lovely HotelAs usual we were met with a warm welcome. The facilities at this hotel are really good. The service is excellent and the breakfast is good. The hotel is about 100mtrs or so from the small village ski slope which is a great way to get your ski legs. For the more adventurous skier there is easy transport provided by the hotel to and from the hotel. This is a lovely hotel which is in a lovely ski village but not far away from the bigger town of Chamonix. The decor and rooms are nice.. my only minus point is that the single beds are a bit narrow, but not a major problem. Once again Many Thanks to Hotel du Bois for a very enjoyable stay.

A friendly welcoming hotel with good facilities.I visited in January 2019 for a few days skiing. The staff are friendly and helpful and all speak English. The hotel is attractively and interesting, the rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. I had a room with a view of the mountains. There is an comfortable well stocked bar with a fire. A pleasant place to sit. The restaurant has a small but varied menu with a daily set menu that is particularly good value. The food fresh, hot and delicious. Altogether the service was excellent. A courtesy bus to the ski lift and back, morning and afternoon. I'd thoroughly recommend it, and will plan to visit again. And there's a swimming pool-which looks fine, although I didn't use it myself.

Ski Gathering trip to ChamonixReally great holiday last week skiing in Chamonix with the Ski Gathering. Our group of six strangers were booked into Hotel du Bois for the week. It's been a long time since I experienced such great personal hospitality, warmth and friendliness. Skiing was excellent, helped by great conditions and great new friends made on the trip. But the holiday was enhanced massively through the quality of the service we received at the hotel. Food was excellent as was the advice on ski locations and runs. The shuttle bus was a great asset also. I had a bad fall on the last day and ruptured my ACL. The hotel staff really helped at the hospital and in recovering my skis. Special thanks to Aurora and Jean Marc.

Very comfy chaletGreat chalet in ideal location. All mod cons including hot tub. Would recommend staying here. Was doing a singles ski trip and was impressed by the level of comfort. Boot warmers, kitchen lockers downstairs, rooms have shower room end suite. Tv, English and French programmes. Comfy dining area, open plan kitchen and sitting area with comfortable seats.

Chalet Du CoinJust finished a week of skiing and staying in Chalet Du Coin. The chalet was perfect - clean, great location near to the slopes and well equipped (including a hot tub which was great in the evenings). The food was delicious and our chalet host Katie was excellent throughout! The booking process was also simple and we had quick responses to all our questions. We look forward to returning again!

Lovely ChaletHad a great time at Chalet du Coin in January. Ellen was a great host and the chalet was always spotlessly clean. Evening food and afternoon cake both lovely; also there is a ready supply of coffee, beer and wine. The hot tub was always clean and welcoming thanks to Sam the hot tub man. Would highly recommend this chalet.

Great ChaletAmazing week spent in Du Coin! So much delicious food and wine, nothing was too much trouble for our host Ellen. The Chalet was spacious and clean as well as the addition of the hot tub and Sauna was the perfect at the end of a days skiing. Great location, close to the lifts and the rest of the village. Could not recommend highly enoughJust had a great 4 night break with Ski Gathering in Les Gets at the Alpine Loft. As well as easy booking, they can sort out transfers, lift passes, (would have liked to have been given piste map as well) and ski hire, (he'll even deliver). E-mail queries were quickly answered by Ashleigh. I was met on arrival by Belinda, who also saw me off with breakfast at 06:30 on day of leaving. Emily was great as Chalet host. The food and afternoon cakes were amazing. Chalet was clean, tidy and comfortable, though the beam in my room could do with padding, you know it's there but you'll still hit your head on it. The boot room would benefit from having a ski/snowboard rack of some sort. I would definitely book with them again.

I highly recommend these guysI've been to Morzine and stayed with the Ski Gathering at Chalet Claude twice (2017 and 2019), and Chelet Chery once (2018). They have excellent properties and offer good value for money for people who are travelling solo (sometimes it's difficult to get people to come skiing with you when you want to). The staff are friendly and highly professional. Generally speaking things run smoothly. The manager/owner who runs the business takes a keen hands on interest in making sure every customer is well taken care of. If you want a catered chalet ski trip to Morzine and Portes du Soleil I highly recommend these guys. I'm hoping to return yet again next season!

Could not recommend highly enoughI've just done two back to back weeks with The Ski Gathering over Christmas and New Year and the whole journey was absolutely brilliant. On both weeks I've met people who I'd like to keep in my life forever, the food was divine and the hosts and staff were exceptional in every way. Special mention to Emily, our first week's chalet girl - WOW, she's amazing. I'll be back again and again. Communication was excellent in the organisation phase as I was travelling from Australia and it gave me confidence that I was with a company that looks after it's customers at the highest level. Could not recommend highly enough.

I would recommendJust returned from a fantastic week with ski gathering. The chalet was excellent, the team lead by Andy were brilliant. The food was superb, compliments to George for the variation in the meals and rather nice birthday cake. I would recommend staying with ski gathering to anyone, having brought together a group of people as solo travellers.
