Love exploring all the pistes? This is for you
Great for skiers looking to get better
Go on safari through the mountains on your skis
This one is not for complete beginners
Explore the mountains like never before with a guided ski holiday, in some of the largest ski areas the world has to offer.
Learn and explore as your instructor-guide takes you on a ski and snowboard adventure around selected ski areas across the Alps.
You and other skiers of similar abilities, an instructor-guide and some of the largest ski areas on the planet. Guided skiing and snowboarding with The Ski Gathering is the name of the game. See as much of the ski area as possible while improving your technique. This is primarily an on-piste holiday, but there may be bits of off-piste here and there for added adventure (depending on your group's level and snow conditions).
As with any shared chalet, all guests enjoy breakfast around the same time. Your lift pass has been delivered to the chalet so, whenever you're ready, just head for the slopes. World-class skiing awaits...
We've partnered with expert local ski schools in each of our resorts to deliver a flexible guiding experience. Your instructor-guide will tailor the itinerary to suit the group and local conditions, helping you explore the best of the area. The number of guiding days varies depending on the resort, the dates, and the duration of your stay.
Join the others for aprés ski in the resort centre, or head back to the chalet to get the first slice of the afternoon cake. We'll all have dinner together. Grab a drink with the rest of the gang, or hit the hay ready for a big day tomorrow.
The single-occupancy supplement is generally the biggest headache for individual skiers travelling alone. Usually, solos have to pay a premium for the empty bed, making ski holidays unaffordable for most singles and solo skiers. With The Ski Gathering, you'll be sharing a room so there is no single supplement. Sharing a triple or quad room, you pay slightly less than those sharing a twin.

Each of our Guided Ski Holiday will have a different course structure and itinerary, depending on the resort, the dates you travel, the length of your stay, and the conditions that week. Some trips can include up to four full days of more intensive guiding; some others are intended to be a bit more technique focussed and may feature three days or alternate formats.
The aim of our Guided Ski Holidays is to help you explore as much of the ski area as possible while offering tips and coaching along the way. Please note that some dates might require a certain level of ability on the slopes, while others will allow for groups of different levels including anyone who's competent on blue runs. Click on the resort of your choice below to find out more about the course structure, level requirements, and inclusions of the holiday.
This is a relaxed week combining light guiding with informal instruction across three mornings during your stay. The instructor-led sessions will take place on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, running from 09:30 to 12:30. You'll be placed into smaller groups (around six to eight people) based on ability and pace, with the aim of covering the mountain while also picking up useful tips to fine-tune your technique.
Outside of the guided mornings, there's plenty of time to ski with other guests, take it easy, or explore the resort independently. One evening, the instructors will join you for drinks and dinner to catch up and share ideas on where to head next. There will also be a group curling evening during the week (details to be confirmed). This trip suits skiers and boarders who are comfortable on blue runs and above, looking to build confidence in a sociable, low-pressure setting.
This short break is all about discovering the best of the Chamonix Valley in the company of experienced instructor-guides. Over three full days (17th, 18th and 19th March), you'll enjoy full-day guiding from around 9am until 3-4pm, depending on the length of lunch breaks and group preference. The focus here isn't technique, but exploration — seeing as much of the valley as possible without having to check the piste map.
You'll meet your guides at the bar on the first evening to discuss plans for the coming days. On the slopes, the group will split into smaller teams of up to six per instructor to allow for different speeds and skiing styles. With the scale and complexity of the terrain in Chamonix, this trip is ideal for skiers who are confident on red runs or above. This is a more intensive trip, so come ready for full days on the mountain.
This holiday is designed for relatively capable skiers and boarders. It is important that you have the skiing and boarding ability required to participate to a given trip, and keep up with the group. These requirements will be enforced by the instructors and anyone who does not meet their criteria will not be allowed to participate.
These trips are designed for confident intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders who are comfortable on blue runs for some, or red runs and above on others. This holiday is not suitable for complete beginners.
We have partnered with amazing local ski schools to bring you an awesome holiday of guiding designed to showcase the best of the ski area. Learn while you explore as your instructor-guide gives you the low-down on the local area. At the same time they are available to give you tips and tricks to enhance you technique. Please note the guides are all on skis, so while boarders are welcome on these holidays the guide will be limited on how much instruction they can give them.
If you are into "putting down the miles" cruising reds (and blues) and want to explore further then this is for you. This holiday is about seeing as much as can be seen. Using your skis / board to really see the whole area the area. The focus here is exploration with a hint of instruction.
If you've mastered the basics and you feel the time is right to move up a level, then this ski holiday is a perfect choice.

A solo ski holiday or single ski holiday is a ski trip where you can spend a week skiing and socialising with other people just like you. People who love to ski (or want to try it) but, for whatever reason, they don't have a group to ski with this year. For some, that's a choice: the skiing creates an opportunity to meet new people and that's exactly what they're looking for. For others, it a more pragmatic choice: they want to ski but their friends or partner can't make it this year. Either way, a solo ski holiday is a great way to enjoy the mountains and meet new people. We say it's company when you want it, freedom when you don't.
Yes. Your holiday will be hosted by a mature and experienced ski-industry professional who knows the local area and knows how to make a social holiday start off on the right foot. Your host is the social glue that binds the ski group together. On the first evening, they will be there to break the ice and make sure everyone feels welcome, relaxed and at home. This all happens naturally over a few welcome drinks: there's no cringey organised fun or ice-breakers. Our hosts are just there to put everyone at ease and make everyone feel welcome. When choosing our partner companies and hosts, we only work with people who share our passion for bringing together groups of sociable people who want to have a great time in the mountains.
No. The Ski Gathering does not offer "dating ski holidays" or "ski holidays for singles", as such. Instead, we tend to think of our ski trips as shared holidays for individual skiers and sociable solo travellers.
You will be sharing the chalet or staying in a hotel with other independent travellers just like you, plus perhaps some groups of two or three skiers who already know each other but would like to mix with others. There will be a full range of abilities from day-one beginners to seasoned veterans of the slopes.
No. There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Nobody telling you how to have fun. It's totally casual. Meet other friendly people and do whatever makes a ski holiday awesome for you.
We currently offer ski holidays in Meribel, Corvara, Morzine, Les Gets, Chamonix - Les Houches, Zell Am See, Les Arcs, and La Plagne. All these resorts deserves to be near the top of any skier's bucket list, offering genuinely world-class skiing on- and off-piste. Read more...
No. Solo skiers and snowboarders share a room so there is no single supplement to pay. A simple solution to an age-old problem. Read more...
That's up to you! Many of our chalets offer single rooms. But they're in short supply, so book early if you want to have your own private space. In our hotels, it is only possible to book a single room, unless you're booking your stay with a person you're travelling with, in a twin room. For most people, though, the social holiday experience does involve sharing a bedroom. Depending on your accommodation, you can choose from twin, triple and quad bedrooms. The more people you share with, the cheaper your holiday is likely to be. Some people like to share with a few people and enjoy the banter. Others prefer to have a bit more space. It's totally up to you. See all chalets & hotels...
Airport Transfers are typically not included in our chalet prices though this does vary from resort to resort, we are very happy to arrange your transfers for you.
The best time to arrive (when possible) is some time in the mid afternoon of the first day. If however you need to arrive in resort at another time we will do our best to accommodate you. The reason we recommend mid afternoon on the first day is because it give you an excellent chance to meet the other guests
No. Unless specified otherwise (e.g. on a single parents' holiday) there are no children on our social ski holidays — we specialise in adults-only ski holidays. One exception to this is our "Just Ski" offering. Just Ski is not a social ski holiday and doesn't involve sharing with other solos. Instead, it appeals to people who just want to travel alone, ski alone, and share a chalet with non-solos, possibly including families with young children.

Everyone is welcome, but these weeks are a great opportunity for skiers and boarders looking to improve their technique while exploring the mountains.

Marc and Alexia, our guides from ESF were just outstanding and tons of fun. Belinda and the Chalet crew were awesome and the food just can't be beat. The other guests were, again, all wonderful and I even ran into last year's roommate on the slopes! What are the chances. I still can't recommend this trip highly enough.
