Enjoy a single parent ski holiday. Join other single-parents, and their kids, to take on the slopes of one of Europe's most sought-after ski destinations.
Join our single parent ski holidays and ski with other like-minded people.
For those that might feel uncomfortable sharing the slopes with two-parent families, comes the single-parent ski holiday. Enjoy your time with like-minded people on and off the slopes, while your children make fast friends with kids their own age. Les Gets is renowned for being a safe and exciting ski resort for people of all ages, regardless of their skiing ability. From expert to beginner, and from child to teenager and adult there's something to keep everyone entertained.
Our Single Parent Ski Holiday are operated by Jana and Raphael from Mountain and Tradition in Les Gets, and are hosted in Les Suites de l'Alpe. The chalet will feature a Wellness Suite, comprised of a swimming pool, a sauna, and an outdoor hot tub! Ideal for the children to socialise after an exciting day on the slopes, and for the parents to unwind with like-minded people.
Les Suites de l'Alpe features a brand new Wellness Suite for the 2022-2023 season!
As with any shared chalet, all guests enjoy breakfast around the same time. Your lift pass has been delivered to the chalet so, whenever you're ready, just head for the slopes. World-class skiing awaits...
The choice is yours: ski with the group or go sledging with your child. Some like to form small groups of similar experience levels or interests; others like to strike out on an adventure of their own. It's completely up to you.
Join the others for aprés ski in the resort centre, or head back to the chalet to take a soothing dip in the outdoor hot tub, or to get the first slice of the afternoon cake. We'll all have dinner together. Share your big adventure of the day, or hit the hay ready for a big day tomorrow.
Relax in the chalet and unwind with like-minded people, enjoy the Wellness Suite or take the kids for a meal in one of Les Get's world-renowned Alpine restaurants. If you fancy a day away from the slopes, then a visit to Les Get's numerous amenities (cinema, bowling alley, ice rink, museum, and endless others) will definitely hit the spot.

We know just about everything there is to know about ski holidays for single parents travelling with their child(ren). Here are just a few things we can help you with...
Ski lessons are a must if this is your first ski holiday. We'll chat to you and find out what sort of lessons will work best for you and your child, then get everything booked for you. On your first morning, we'll show you where to meet your instructor.
We'll explain and advise on what equipment you will need to hire, then arrange for delivery and fitting on your first morning at the chalet. Helmets are recommended for all and they can be hired, too.
For France, the main airport is Geneva — about an hour from Les Gets and Morzine. Let us know which flights you have booked and we will arrange an airport transfer to suit.
We can advise on which lift pass will best suit your needs and arrange for it to be delivered to the chalet when you arrive. One less thing to think about.
All sound a bit confusing? We're here to help! Just get in touch any time and we will do our best to answer all your queries. When it comes to ski holidays for single parents, there are no stupid questions, so just fire away :)
Our Les Gets holidays are operated by Jana and Raphael from Mountain and Tradition. Raphael grew up in Les Gets before training as a chef and travelling to work in some of Europe's top Michelin-starred kitchens. His passion for flavour and knowledge of Les Gets is matched only by Jana's organisational skills and customer service. Questions about Les Gets? Just ask.
Les Gets is the definitive picture-postcard resort. If it is perhaps a little quieter than neighbouring Morzine, or our other resort of Meribel, this should be weighed against the traditional Savoyard charm the village retains, not to mention the world-class skiing it offers. Les Gets is a dream destination for sociable groups with mixed abilities, offering plenty of convenient loops and tree-lined circuits, allowing the group to disperse and re-converge frequently and naturally throughout the day's skiing. Finish the day in the open-air aprés ski bar at the foot of the slopes. Read More...
