Welcome to a ski holiday designed for you

Sociable ski holidays for adults only. The perfect winter break for outgoing individuals. A fun and flexible ski holiday whether you're travelling as a pair, in a three, or on your own. Company when you want it, freedom when you don't.

A common dilemma

In a shared chalet, some adults-only groups find that young families can dominate somewhat, dictating the atmosphere of the setting and the dynamics of the group as a whole. If you're looking to get away from it all and let your hair down, this might not be the ski holiday you have in mind.

A simple solution

The Ski Gathering is perfect for grown-up skiers who are looking to unwind in adult-only company. Whether you're travelling as a pair, in a sociable small group, or as a solo skier our holidays allow you to meet like-minded grown-ups and enjoy the skiing in a relaxing child-free environment.

What is The Ski Gathering?

For Solo Skiers & Snowboarders

You have come to the right place. The ski gathering is all about individuals getting together for a truly memorable ski experience. Beginner or Expert, skier or boarder, the social holidays bring together people to share the mountains and make memories.

Pairs and sociable small groups

If you are in a small group of sociable people who would like to join a larger ski group then these are the ski weekends for you. If your ski partner is a completely different level to you, then you can both join people of a similar level for the day, then meet up at the end to share the experiences.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can couples come along?

Absolutely, sociable couples are very welcome. Just ask us for your own double or twin room (n.b. all rooms are single-sex except by request by mixed-sex couples). Enjoy time as a two when you want to, join the rest group when it suits.

  • Who will be there?

You will be sharing the chalet with other independent travellers just like you, plus perhaps some groups of two or three skiers who already know each other but would like to mix with others. There will be a full range of abilities from day-one beginners to seasoned veterans of the slopes.

  • Do we have to 'join in'?

No. There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Nobody telling you how to have fun. It's totally casual. Meet other friendly people and do whatever makes a ski holiday awesome for you.

  • Will I be sharing a bedroom?

That's up to you! Many of our chalets offer single rooms. But they're in short supply, so book early if you want to have your own private space. For most people, though, the social holiday experience does involve sharing a bedroom. Depending on your chalet, you can choose from twin, triple and quad bedrooms. The more people you share with, the cheaper your holiday is likely to be. Some people like to share with a few people and enjoy the banter. Others prefer to have a bit more space. It's totally up to you. See all chalets...

  • How is this different from a regular shared chalet?

Firstly, we offer adults-only ski holidays, so there are no children or teenagers. Perhaps more importantly, everyone who books has chosen to share their ski holiday with other outgoing and friendly people.

  • Will my extras be organised for me?

Yes, just let us know what you need and we will get everything sorted for you, hassle-free. We can arrange your lift pass, your ski hire and your ski lessons, if applicable. Happy to help.

  • Are transfers included?

Airport Transfers are typically not included in our chalet prices though this does vary from resort to resort, we are very happy to arrange your transfers for you.

  • When should I arrive?

The best time to arrive (when possible) is some time in the mid afternoon of the first day. If however you need to arrive in resort at another time we will do our best to accommodate you. The reason we recommend mid afternoon on the first day is because it give you an excellent chance to meet the other guests

  • Will there be children in my chalet?

No. Unless specified otherwise (e.g. on a single parents' holiday) there are no children on our social ski holidays — we specialise in adults-only ski holidays. One exception to this is our "Just Ski" offering. Just Ski is not a social ski holiday and doesn't involve sharing with other solos. Instead, it appeals to people who just want to travel alone, ski alone, and share a chalet with non-solos, possibly including families with young children.
