Beginners Festival Programme A day-by-day look at the week ahead

Below is the planned schedule for the week — mornings with ESF, afternoons of rotating activities, and evenings that make the most of the festival atmosphere. Every day has a rhythm to it, but nothing is compulsory. Join in as much or as little as you like.

A typical day at the 1er Ski Beginner Festival

Festival Week at a Glance

Saturday

Arrivals, equipment distribution, festive opening evening - Book a flight landing at Geneva Airport before 16:00 to avoid missing the opening festivities! Meet your hosts, settle into your chalet and get fitted for your ski or snowboard equipment so you're ready for Sunday morning.

Sunday 19:00

ESF show and demonstration on the snowfront. A spectacular welcome to the festival, with instructors showcasing what you'll be learning throughout the week.

Sunday to Friday

Mornings (10:00-12:30): ESF beginner group lessons, ski or snowboard. Afternoons (14:00-16:30): Rotating programme of sledging at Les Perrières, guided walks, karaoke, orienteering on skis, and team challenges. Après (17:00-19:00): Ice rink party, sunset drinks and live music. From 21:00: Headline acts on selected nights.

Friday evening

Skiers' certificate ceremony and festive closing party. Celebrate everything you've achieved during the week with your group, your instructors and your hosts.

Saturday

Departures. Swap details with new friends, pick up any last souvenirs and head home — or stay on for an extra few days if you're not ready to leave the mountains.

Programme and timings may adjust for weather or operational reasons. Any changes will be posted on the daily schedule and communicated by your host.
